Spirea ‘Candy Corn’
‘Candy Corn’ is a compact spirea grown primarily for its colorful foliage, which emerges in vivid orange and red tones before transitioning through yellow and green as the season progresses. Small vibrant pink flowers add an amazing summer display creating a drastic contrast against the bright foliage. Its relatively compact habit makes it useful along foundation beds, perennial borders, low hedges, and mass plantings. Like other spireas, it performs best in a sunny location with reasonably well-drained soil and benefits from regular pruning to maintain a dense shape.
Height: 1.5–2 ft
Width: 1.5–2 ft
Flower time: June–July
Sun/Shade: Full sun to part shade
Deer resistant
