Solomon’s Seal (Dwarf)
Dwarf Solomon’s Seal is a charming low-growing woodland perennial that provides the graceful character of traditional Solomon’s Seal in a much smaller package. Instead of producing the tall, arching stems associated with larger Solomon’s Seal varieties, it spreads along the ground with shorter stems and attractive foliage. Small, bell-shaped white flowers appear beneath the foliage in spring, followed by attractive berries later in the season. It is especially useful for woodland gardens, shaded borders, beneath shrubs, and as a low groundcover where a refined foliage plant is desired. Like other Solomon’s Seals, it prefers organically rich, evenly moist soil and performs best in filtered or dappled shade.
Height: 6–12 in
Width: 1–2 ft
Flower time: April–May
Sun/Shade: Part shade to full shade
Deer resistant
Rabbit resistant
