Iris (dwarf) ‘Dinky Circus’
‘Dinky Circus’ is a dwarf bearded iris that brings the classic form and intricate coloring of bearded iris flowers to a much smaller plant. Its compact stature makes it especially useful along pathways, rock gardens, perennial borders, and the front of larger beds. The flowers rise above narrow sword-like foliage in spring, creating a colorful display while taking up very little space. Like most bearded irises, it prefers well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight, and it should not be planted where the rhizomes remain constantly wet.
Height: 8–12 in
Width: 12–18 in
Flower time: April–May
Sun/Shade: Full sun
