Anemone ‘Pocahontas’
A compact Japanese/fall anemone with double bubblegum-pink flowers held on sturdy stems above dark green foliage. It is especially valuable because it flowers when many summer perennials are beginning to fade. After flowering, fluffy white seed heads provide additional fall interest.
Size: approximately 12–18 in. tall × 18–24 in. wide.
Bloom time: approximately July–September, with some extending into October.
Flower color: Double bubblegum/rose pink
Foliage: Dark green, toothed and deeply divided
Fall interest: White, cotton-like seed heads
Best features: Compact size, very long bloom period, late-season color, and excellent cut flowers.
It is also deer and rabbit resistant and attracts pollinators.
