A vigorous hybrid maple combining characteristics of Acer shirasawanum (Full Moon maple) and Acer palmatum. ‘Red Dawn’ develops an upright, rounded-to-vase-shaped form with dramatic purple-red foliage. The spring foliage is particularly striking, while fall brings deep purple and brilliant crimson-red tones.
Size: approximately 15–20 ft. tall × 14–16 ft. wide. Though they grow extremely slowly and do not reach maximum height in our climate. Can be pruned to maintain a smaller size
