Acer palmatum ‘Tamukeyama’ Japanese Maple
A beautiful weeping/laceleaf Japanese maple with cascading branches and extremely finely divided foliage. New foliage emerges purple-red, becomes deeper reddish-purple during summer, and turns brighter orange-red in fall. It makes an excellent specimen near a patio, entryway, rock garden, or water feature.
Size: approximately 6–8 ft. tall × 8–12 ft. wide. Though they grow slowly and do not grow to max height in our climate.
Bloom time: April–May.
Flowers: Small reddish-purple flowers; attractive up close but not a major feature.
Foliage: Deeply dissected purple-red/laceleaf foliage.
